A Riddle Rattled

"Heroes, you are returning worn and weary, from your venture into the Black Mountains, where you felled the threat of the Fire Mage Balur deep inside Black Fire Crag.  Now you make your way back to the Empire, and this town on the outskirts seems like the best place to stop before nightfall.  The locals call the town Mughold, and the town appears to be abuzz with news.  

A rich but eccentric merchant who had lived in the town died recently, and bequeathed his riches to anyone who could solve his riddle. How about it heroes?  Are you up for a little treasure hunt? Best to get a move on, there is competition already afoot!"

Water’s flowing, spilling, splashing,
Hay’s for horsies, clopping, neighing,
Through blind doorways zipping, dashing,                
There find green, reward is paying.
